UWT Kidz 4 Kidz Charity Fundraising Project

The week began with the introduction of the charitable act of collecting and donating for the needy and poor.

A representative from Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT) visited the school and spoke to the children. Children were presented with lots of useful information about the importance of donating our wealth, the rewards, and the good it brings to our fellow human companions.

Children from years 1 to years 6 will be taking part in a national fundraising project for Ummah Welfare Trust. Kidz 4 Kidz is an annual fundraising campaign in which school children from across the UK raise money for the less-fortunate around the world.

Last year over 20,000 children took part raising over £250,000, the money being used to provide gifts and clothes to thousands of war-affected children in Syria and Palestine.

This year the money raised will be used to:

– Support poor teachers in Burma and Pakistan

– Sponsor orphans in around the world

– Install hand water pumps for poor communities in the Philippines

UWT will provide children with a small donation box and a letter for parents.

To give pupils some added motivation, UWT will provide all students with a goody bag to acknowledge their hard work; while the highest fundraiser in each region will be given an exclusive prize (raised through sponsorship) – the top prize this year is an Android Tablet, 2nd and 3rd will given medals. The top fundraising school will get a trophy.
