What should I do if I have a safeguarding concerns about a child?
Durring the office hours:

- Contact the school and ask to speak to one of the safeguarding leads: The Designated Safeguarding lead person for Assunnah Primary is Mrs Hodan (Head Teacher). Deputy Designated Safeguarding leads are Mr Mohamed Yusuf (School Manager), Mr Mohamed Amin (Senco) and Mrs Manal Mohamed (Early Years Lead) and (Deputy Safeguarding Lead). The designated Safeguarding Governor is Mrs Hafsa Shegow.
- Speak to your class Child’s teacher.
- Discuss your concerns with someone who works with children and families, e.g, your health visitor, socil worker or a school first aid team.
Outside office hours:
- If the danger is not immediate telephone 101
- If the danger is immediate, always call the police on 999
