Al-Salamu ʿAlaikum Dear Parents,
Today we had a truly special Art event at school, and I wanted to take a moment to share the joy and purpose behind it with you.
We were honoured to welcome the talented artist Samir Malik, who delivered an inspiring Islamic calligraphy workshop for our students. The children were fully engaged and absolutely loved the experience! It was a beautiful opportunity for them to see how creativity can be expressed in meaningful, respectful, and faith-enriching ways.
The aim of this event was to introduce our students to the concept of Islamic art and to help them understand what halal art looks like – particularly through calligraphy and mosaic. These art forms are rich in beauty, tradition, and spirituality, and I am so proud of how respectfully and enthusiastically the children participated and responded.
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for their incredible support in making this event possible. I’m truly proud of each and every student for their efforts and creativity today.
