School Value for Summer I

Assalamu Aleykum Parents and Carers.

Our value for Summer I is Gratitude. Please have conversations with your children why this Vitamin is so important ! I have shared some ayahs and hadith .

1. Surah Ibrahim (14:7)

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed: “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.”

2. Surah Luqman (31:12)

And We certainly gave Luqman wisdom [and said], “Be grateful to Allah.” And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] – then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.

3. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:152)

So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.

4. Surah An-Nahl (16:114)

So eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And be grateful for the favor of Allah, if it is [indeed] Him that you worship.

Surah Al-Insan (76:3)
Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or ungrateful

Hadith 1 – Gratitude to People:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“He who does not thank people, does not thank Allah.”
— Tirmidhi
This hadith teaches that showing gratitude to others is part of being grateful to Allah.

Hadith 2 – Contentment and Gratitude:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Look at those below you and do not look at those above you, for this is more likely to make you not belittle the favors Allah has bestowed upon you.”
— Bukhari and Muslim
This reminds us to appreciate what we have, instead of constantly desiring what others possess.
